COME CATCH THE WAVE

Register before May 6th and pay only $15!

After May 6th and at the door you will pay $20

Why does it cost more after May 6th?   We have to make plans based on the number of attendees, and the discount for early registration and payment is an incentive for you to register early.  What if I can’t afford the cost? We encourage you to ask your stake single adult representatives. Many wards will help anyone who cannot afford the cost of the conference. What does the $ go toward?  Food, decorations, printing costs... but mostly food, really good food!

“This wave of truth and righteousness is wondrous! It is not man-made!”

-  Elder Russell M. Nelson

Sunrise Service and Beach Activities

Begin your day at Wrightsville Beach's north end Saturday morning for a 6 am sunrise service with music and a spiritual thought. A light breakfast will be available. Once the sun is up, see if you can stay up on a paddleboard!

A few paddleboards will be available for rent (for a discounted fee.)  Horse shoes, beach volleyball and other activities available.  We will mark our space and the games and boards will be available unitl about 3 pm.  You can spend your morning or the afternoon at the beach and flip-flop for the workshops at the stake center.  Vist the attraction tab to see what else is available on our beautiful coast.

Service Projects

We will be making pillows for breast cancer patients.  You can cut, sew or stuff and you will be able to take the ones you make back to your hometown and donate them to a hospital or center of your choice or you can leave them for the Leland Ward Service Group to deliver to New Hanover Regional Medical Center.  Other projects may be available.

The Stake Family History Center will be open with experts to help you begin, learn indexing, search for a hard to find name, or get names Temple ready.

“A date doesn’t mean you have to fall in love,” ... It simply shows that you respect a woman enough to set her apart from the crowd for an evening.” –from an Ensign article written by Kimberly Webb

“Each person’s success and happiness, both now and in the eternities, depend largely on his or her responses to the difficulties of life. “

- First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

“Carefully selected heroes can give us a pattern for our lives and serve as our role models. They can give us courage to walk the road of life righteously.”

– H. David Burton

“…Family history is not simply an interesting program or activity sponsored by the Church; rather, it is a vital part of the work of salvation and exaltation. You have been prepared for this day and to build up the kingdom of God. You are here upon the earth now to assist in this glorious work.”

– David A. Bednar

May 20, 21 &22, 2016
Seven Stake LDS Single Adult Conference, Wilmington, NC

SA Conference Family History Center Time will be best spent if: (note below from Stake Family History Coordinator)

"...They will need to either have already set up a sign in and password for LDS.org and Familysearch.org, or they will need to have their church membership number with them so we can help them set up an account (non-members do not need a membership number).  They need to have their login and passwords with them if their accounts are already set up.  The lds.org account needs to be in their name, they can't use someone elses.

Their time will be most productive if they have a specific idea of what they would like to find.  For instance, they may want to try and find the names of their grandmother's siblings, or maybe they are looking for a marriage certificate or birth record.  If they are just starting it helps if they can bring as much information they have ready to hand."
